Hi Ian
I had followed your posting and in fact was about to contact you directly
this morning but was interrupted.
On the possible interference front, I've found that my nearby cordless phone
uses 1.9 Ghz so I doubt that can be a cause. Then, I'm only a mile from an
airfield, although it's not a high tech. place (so far as we know).
Anyway, tonight, following my nose, I've again found that channel 11 (the
default) is a problem, and a couple of others. I then plodded through
channels 1 to 13, to see if any stayed up longer than any other, and was
very surprised to find that all the channels that would connect fell over
after three minutes! Very odd. I haven't found anything in the settings
that might affect that.
So, I decided to contact Linksys, but again got diverted and looked on their
knowledge base. I found an item referring to a duff MS hotfix and advising
removal of Wireless Zero Config. I've done this and I've not been
disconnected for over 73 minutes, which is a world record. Of course, it
could be a fluke. To be continued.
Thanks for your response.
