Our network DHCP IP not enough, I want expend our network IP range. I have
read MS KB, the DHCP supercope can be help my problems. But before config
our W2003SP2 server, I want to know more information.

Currently Network sturcture.

-All PC / server connect to one subnet - 10.5.1.x
- 1 x DHCP server
- 1 x DNS server.

My propose Network structure
-All PC server still connect to same subnet
- 1 x DHCP server using superscope apply two DHCP range.
- 10.5.1.x only connect to server / Printer
- 172.1.0.x only connect to user deaktop
- 172.2.0.x only connect to another department.

I try to config the scuperscope in my testing lab, but 10.5.1.x is ping to
10.5.1.x lan server ip, but if get 172.x.x.x ip cannot ping 10.5.1.x server
IP and cannot connect to internet.

Can you help me advice me how to config our DHCP server to serve mutilnet.

Thanks
IT

Your gateway has to be on the same subnet. You'll need a router or another
NIC in your server (w/IP routing).

Not possible. The most a 1721 will support is 3. Post a 'show version' from
the router.

Hi , My new design as below, may be not using Cisco Router, and using DELL
Powerconnect switch

- 2/F DELL 3348 filber connect to 4/F DELL 5324 Switch < NEW SUBNET)
172.1.X.X
- 4/F (All server two 1GB NiC connect TO DELL 5324 ) SUBNET 10.5.1.X.X
- 5/F 2x3348 2xGB connect to 4/F 5324 Port <NEW SUBNET> 172.2.X.X

** 4/F DELL 5324 each connected from each floor port must be enable IP relay
agnet respone to 4/F AD
** 4/F W2003 DHCP used superscope create three IP range.

Question.
When W2003 DHCP is 10.5.1.100, in DELL 5324 enable DHCP relay is point to
10.5.1.100 or not, please advice and show the config.

Please advice is good design or not.

Any commend please provide.

you need a ROUTER not a switch. I suggest you get a networking consultant in
to help.
