I have Redhat linux 9.

I have eth0 set up to use DHCP to get IP address.
I have a static IP address assigned to eth0:1.

Whenever my DHCP lease gets renewed, the IP alias
on eth0:1 disappears. It seems as if this is
intentional in dhclient-script.

Does anybody know of a way to keep my static
IP aliases intact when the DHCP lease renews?

peter
