Hi,
Couple of quick questions first:
If a USB device locks up is there a way to restart it, or flush
it, or something? at this point I am rebooting.
Anyone know if there is firmware upgrade for the linksys WUSB12?
I am trying to get a linksys WUSB12 working with linux-wlan-ng.
I installed debian sarge 3.1 r0 which gave me 2.4.27-2-386
Apparently linux-wlan-ng isn't supported any longer, so I tried
the Hostap route.. but that apparently doesn't support USB devices.
So back to linux-wlan-ng, I downloaded it and tried to compile it,
but no luck, this apparently need a kernel 2.6 or greater.
Downloaded linux-2.6.13.4 and recompiled the kernel.
Compiled linux-wlan-ng.
Rebooted and the prism2_usb module is being loaded automatically.
Not sure what parameters the system starts the prism2_usb module
with.
Where would I check for this?
So sometimes this works, but mostly it doesn't.
Looking for a method to isolate where the problem is
or a solution would be good... in fact any suggestions
are more than appreciated.
At the end you'll notice I lose my USB wireless device.
So after the system boots these are the steps I am following.
