See if you have any disk errors on the server.
We had a Promise ISCSI Vtrak 15200 that was causing the server to freeze for several seconds at a time.
This was seen by all clients that were either opening/saving, or just browsing folders on a share.
I had to replace the unit with a SCSI one and the problems went away.

Thanks for the reply. I do not belive it is a master browser issue. Non of the symptoms given are happening to me.
Further more, the problems are definately occuring more whenever an application is launched or a file opened.
Kind regards
Taz

Hi there, we have a Win 2k3 server with a few Win XP clients.
Everything has been working fine for months, all of a sudden the XP clients
have started to freeze/lock randomly for 10 to 20 seconds at a time. When
opening folders, launching applications etc. They all seem to have been
affected at the same time, they are all running different hardware and
software setups. I have folder redirection enabled.
The server seems fine, I cannot see any errors. nothing new has been
installed to make this happen.
I have a few errors on my clients, these are. The very last one i cannt seem
to figure out, I dont know why this is happening, i didnt realise i had even
set this up.
Any help on this matter would be really appreciated.
