I am trying to connect wirelessly to the internet using a recently purchased
BT voyager 2500v DSL router and my laptop which is using a Belkin network
adapter card. I am able to connect successfully using ethernet so there is a
viable internet connection.
The Belkin utility icon confirms that there is a signal between the computer
and the router, but no matter what I do, I cannot get connected wirelessly. I
have spent HOURS on the phone to BT technical 'support' who took me through
various processes including checking and resetting ip adresses. I have tried
uninstalling and re-installing the software as well as various ways of trying
to reconfigure the connections. I am considering buying a BT network card in
the hope it will configure with greater success.
I was also wondering whether a service exists whereby someone cleverer than
myself can actually be hired to come round, sit in front of my computer and
fix the problem for me. Any suggestions? Please help!
