HELP - Access problems with Wanadoo Wireless broadband

Having a couple of problems in connecting my computers to new Wanadoo
Broadband (wireless), Livebox.

With my main desktop PC I get to the final install screen but when I
enter user name and password keep getting Gateway #505 errors.
According to Wanadoo this means the wireless unit is out of range or
connections are broken but the unit is 12 inches from the PC! All
connections are showing as live. They can offer no further help.
Anyone else had these messages?

Since the desktop didn't work, I tried to connect up my laptop however
it fails on one of the Install steps when doing 'Configuring PC'. No
error messages - just hangs on this screen and shows the Wireless
Network Manager. How should I configure my laptop?

Diane - hope first off that the mail address isn't valid else you
are lining up a heap of spam (if so, I suggest keir.net's K9 s/w
which learns which is spam and which is not, and allows you to
filter out the trash quite easily)... I think yours is the
first query on Wanadoo's wireless kit... if you get no answers
here uk.comp.home-networking and some freeserve/wanadoo newsgroup
might exist/be better/get another user. Good luck... Peter M.
