Hi All

Currently using a Netgear MA521 pc card on my laptop, and i did a bit of war
driving today, found 2 networks without WEP enabled.

Using netstumbler to find networks, the netgear card made a connection but
when i tried to use the connection to open a website, it would return page
not found etc.

Would this be because of MAC address filtering ??, the network had no WEP,
and was using an SSID of "default".

The second network was detected by netstumbler but the pc card would still
say no network found, this network also had no WEP, any ideas ??

Sorry, I have been floating around in this NG for about two years. You go
find my name and see what I have contributed to this NG. And I could
careless about *Telstra/Clear*.

You tell me! What's the meaning of your post if you're not looking to
take advantage of someone's wireless setup. And you did a bit of war
driving did you?

Duane

You're welcome. By the way, I hear from your fellow countrymen that sheep
are best had on cliff tops. Apparently the sheep push back harder.
