Helkp - Belkin 5FD700 to D-Link DI-614+(A) problem

Hi all,
I have a belkin pci card in PC#1 running XP pro ver 2002 and a dlink router
on another,
PC#2 running 2000 SP3.

Letting the d-link dhcp to both the network card in PC #2 and the wireless
card in PC #1.
I find that the belkin keeps getting the wrong adress assigned, the d-link
says it is allocated 192.168.0.101 but the belkin reckons it has
169.254.185.9

I'm told this is either windows xp overriding or the belkin forgetting, is
this correct?

If so, how do i eliminate this problem.? I'm using the latest belkin
drivers.

If i tell the belkin to "repair" the connection it reports back a fail at
renewing the ip address.
