Hearts over a network

The game of Hearts that comes with Windows (XP flavour), seems to be
playable as either a standalone single person option against the PC,
or on the Internet against named, or computer provided opponents.

Is it possible for two people on the same network to play as two
participants in the same game? If so, how?
