I work for a school district and some computers in my
schools are having a wierd startup problem. When the
computer is turned on it boots normally but then instead
of going to the login screen it goes straight into windows
and I have to log it off and log back on to get on our
network. I've tried changing the primary network logon,
joining and leaving the network, but nothing works. can
anyone help? I've never ran into this problem before.

I wont even begin to take credit for this, but the below
fixed the same problem for me. The original poster

A common cause of this type of problem is that your PC is
set to log on
automatically, so open up REGEDIT.EXE and look at the
following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersio
n\
Network\Real Mode Net

If there is an "Autologon" setting there, delete it, then
reboot the
computer and see if you can log on normally then.
