OK, having a bit of a brain freeze at the mo.

Here's what I need.

Location 1. Wifi ADSL Modem Router. One PC connected to it.

Location 2. 5 PC/Printer/NAS

At Location 2, all are wired through a Network Switch. They need
internet access via Loc 1. PC at Loc 1 needs to be able to see files on
NAS at Location 2.

Wifi ADSL Modem router can't be moved and connected directly to the
switch at Loc 2 which would've made everyones life easier.

All I need is a Wifi WAP running in Bridge mode hooked up to the
network switch at Loc 2 setting the gateways on the PCs to the IP
address of the WAP and the IP addresses on everything in the same
subnet, right?

Mostly yes, but some points:
1. Essentially the wifi of the adsl/modem/router/wifi is already in AP
mode. You need to setup the new AP in _client_ bridge mode not AP Bridge
mode, at which point (except for configuration) the AP and the wireless
link become transparent on the network -- together they become like a
network cable between the switch and the modem/router IYSWIM.

2. You will probably have the best success if the AP you provide is from
the same manufacturer as the adsl/modem/router/wifi and known to work as
a bridge with it. I've had problems using different brands -- it
shouldn't happen but it does.

3. I'd set the gateways to the IP address of the modem/router/wifi
device not the client AP (it isn't really a router in client mode) if
you don't use DHCP to obtain the default gateway.

4. If you do use DHCP on the PCs, I'd put the NAS on its own IP outside
the DHCP range and ensure the NAS' DHCP server is switched off (if it
has one). More than 1 DHCP server on a subnet is a recipe for trouble.

Presumably a cable run is out of the question too.

The router at location 1 will probably only talk wirelessly to wireless
clients. The stupidly named "bridge" mode, at least with all APs I have
seen, means using the wireless to create a point-to-point link between two
similarly configured APs.

What you need is a wireless/Ethernet bridge which acts as a wireless client.
This is what "game adaptors" are.

IP configuration should be the same as if you ran a cable between the router
and switch, ie PCs at location 2 should have the router as their default
gateway and everything should be in the same subnet.

No , if all the machines are on the same subnet then the default gateway
should always be your router , irrespective of which side of the wireless
bridge they are on.

Thanks. For some reason I got it into my head that bridged mode had the
WAP working like a client, hence the gateways set to its IP when it
quite clearly doesn't.

When I actually drew a diagram of it, it became clearer.
