Hi,

How is DNS set up on your network? What DNS server is Windows XP SP2 using
(configured under TCP/IP). How about your domain controllers (Windows Server
2003)?

Common mistake is to point Windows XP (clients) to e.g. your ISP DNS server
which will cause slow logons. The reason for this is that clients use DNS
server to locate domain controllers and global catalogs and other services
in domain. If you set your client up to use your ISP DNS server they won't
be able to locate domain controller since your ISP doesn't know anything
about your domain.
In this case you need to change TCP/IP properties on your clients to use
your internals DNS (Active Directory DNS) Server (usually your Active
Directory server)...

Hi layth
The first reason for slow logon to Domain is faults on DNS server OR any
mistake on configuration of DNS on clients . Check your DNS server to sure it
works properly and your clients , in addition you can type this command to
ensure client accounts are created on your DNS server:
ipconfig /registerdns
