You are kidding right??!!! You think dealing with BT as a customer is bad,
you try being a builder and dealing with BT newsites!
A development with 1000 houses will get 200 E sides to start, there will be
dac's units in the cab, in the underground, in garages, inside cats, under
dogs....
The sheer incompitence does not stop at normal customer service, it extends
itself through the planning and network build departments too.
All that aside, there can be any number of reasons why the DSL is declined or
delayed. Not a BT line (that is signed over to someone else like the post office
or caudwell comms) No line plant, pair gain device on the line (dacs/wb900(!!)),
not fed from copper but on a TPON, lack of equipment in exchange or even order
not submitted correctly.
Most new estates are 'digital deserts' and getting a telephone line is a
challange to say the least. Good luck!
