Has anyone got any information on whisper broadband
(http://www.whisperbroadband.co.uk) ???

A client of mine has told me a good number of people in Upper & Lower
Slaughter have paid them a deposit but can now get no response from them
either through email or phone (phone just plays a recorded message
saying the office hours and leave a message and a rep will call you
back, they say that office closes as 6pm but i called at 5pm and the
message was on).

I've tried to have a look at adslguide to see if there are any posts on
there and there are very few and nothing about anyone signing up with
them and not hearing anything.

So does anyone know if they have gone bust and done a runner with
peoples money or just haveing problems ??

Just to clarify, I don't believe anyone in upper/lower slaughter has
paid a deposit - just filled in direct debit mandates.

This non-response from Whisper Broadband is very disappointing as up
to 3 weeks ago they were promising connection "within 2 weeks".

The biggest problem is that the alternative - BT - is just as slow and
unclear. They are not making any promises, just saying broadband will
happen sometime soon.

What ever happened to the Government's promises on rural broadband??
