What happened after the Critical Update?

I recently upgraded to the 802.11g after being on the
11.b for a year or so. I did it because of range
problems after I moved and my laptop is now further from
the base station. After I upgraded I went from a low
signal to Very Good or Excellent almost anywhere in the
house. A few weeks ago I received a Critical Update
message so I downloaded it to the base station as well as
on my laptop. Now I have awful connection speeds! The
range is back down to low or poor and my speed went from
36-52 Mbps to 11-24 Mbps. Very aggravating! Any ideas
on this?

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried
everything under the sun, and can't seem to get my
excellent signal back.

Hi Matt:

How about some more information? Which OS are you using? What hardware do
you have? Did you update the drivers for your hardware? Reason for the
questions is that there may be a problem with a driver update for certain MS
hardware - specifically the MN 720/730.
