Hi.

Do anyone know can I speedup "looking up WLAN"/"handshake" in Windows XP
(register etc.).

I have WinXP Pro where is RT61 pci card. I don't use Ralink drivers/software
only Microsoft's drivers/software. When I start computer Wireless network is
available fastest after 10 min. After network is found and connected then I
have full signal strength speed 54. And my WLAN station is Zyxel 660HW.
(note: hiden SSID, WEB 128, G/B, MAC Filter)

Also i have another computer where is Zyxel 360 pci card (using G+). Also I
have connected HP 2510i scanner/fax/printer using B standart... these work
fine...

You should try using Ralink's drivers instead of Microsoft's. Also did you
manually configure your network settings? If so then you sould try to let
Windows manage your wireless connection (the WZC Managed Ethernet setting -
enable this).

I first tested RaLink's own software+drivers. But RaLink software's think
that "returned" data from Zyxel was corrupted. Then I made backup from driver
files and removed software. And after that I installed only drivers (RaLink's
don't give only drivers, so when you must install software and also when you
uninstall drivers are removed also!!!!). And they worked, but same way (10
min wait before network was available). After that I installed Microsoft
drivers from WindowsUpdate also there was 10min wait.

I think that I fix it. (but i don't know how this fix it)
Drivers Advanced setting in Hardware:
Fragmentation Threshold: 2347 -> 2336
RTS Threshold: 2347 -> 2240

Also I write SSID name into advanced setting (but before that "looking up
WLAN"/"handshake" was faster)....

So you did fix it then by lowering the thresholds? If that's the case then
your Zyxel must be configured to handle smaller packet sizes so when it
encounters the bigger sizes it probably has trouble handling them.
