Hi,
Setting up my guest OS in Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise Edition 64-bit
(no sp) to be autostarted on host server start up, do start the guest OS, but
the netcard in the guest OS don't work. Manually disable and enable the
netcard within the guest OS (Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 sp2) sometimes
help and the guest gets ip-connectivity. But not everytime! Starting the
guest manually without specifying a userid/password in Virtual Server for it
allways work, and the guest OS netcard works perfect. I used a local account
on the VS 2005 host as the account to do an autostart for the guest. I first
tried the account as a normally user, but it failed as above. Second added
the account into the local administrators group to test if it could be an
security issiue. But it still don't work.
I do think it could be a bug in Virtual Server 2005 R2, but I don't like to
add the service pack for Virtual Server yet as it is in beta stage.
Any solutions? I do need the function to autostart guest OS, and I do want
them to use the network. I have tried different network settings (bridged,
Internal) for the guest OS, don't work.
