how can a collection of computers be grouped together which can be refrenced
with a single name, similar to users in AD users and computers.

this would aid me in policy setting in win 2k3 server and xp pro clients.

Not totally sure what you mean or how you will be "referencing" them but you
can put them into an OU. For example you can put all laptops on their own OU
and set policies for your laptops on that OU.

actually i want to set login restriction to my domain users for specific
workstations. as we have 200 plus computers, indivudual customization like
adding all 100 plus computers to each users properties in AD users and
computers would be pain process. so, to make it simple, just wanted to group
X nos of computers as Group-A and then add this group to the users login
properties. this would make the whole lot process simple and will get me to
set more of policies.

as such we have 100 plus users. this will be a reall mess if i go with
individual users and individual computers setup.

so, might need your sincere help please....
