Any one who cold calls me is an auotmatic reject on any list I may have.

Ditto TV advertising.

I'd rather they spent the money on technology and support staff....

ratings from dslzone, marked by users of the service out of 10
speed 6.3
support 4.9
reliability 7.3
price 6.6

so, i guess not.
treat broadband like any other service/product, do your research
(thinkbroadband /kitz /dslzoneuk, ask friends / collegues, read the small
print, and between the lines, never buy on the door

Their tech support is knowledgeable and useful. They're a little more pricey
than the rest of the market, but seem to be quite reliable.

They seem to have this little trick whereby anyone with routed IP finds that
their routed IPs can't get on the internet, but the IP assigned to the
router continues to work. This happened yesterday afternoon, and they've
done it at least once before in the past.

They're a White Labler, aren't they?
Have been spending an absolute fortune in the the trade press
recently.

BTW, anyone who cold calls us gets told "I'm sorry, but it's our
company policy never to do business with those who rely on
cold-calling."

From: http://www.griffin.com/About/
" In terms of infrastructure, Griffin now has four Carrier Class Data
Centres, hundreds of megabits of transit capacity and active peering
relationships with most ISPs at LINX, MaNAP and XchangePoint. "

" hundreds of megabits of transit capacity " - is umm sweet cock all !!
Even after all these years working in the industry, I'm not sure how a
"Carrier Class" Data Centres differs from a bog standard common Data Centre
<gg>. Maybe they just mean that they lease the rack space in CoLos (two are
in Telecity Harbour Exchange), not sure where the other two are ... and
don't really care.

All things considered - I wouldnt touch them.

And this is just what I needed to hear... one of my clients is tied into
a 12 month contract with a company who are now a Griffin reseller (think
they were Entanet resellers until a couple of weekends ago). Lovely.
