Hi,

I have an application running on Windows server 2003, standard edition,
running terminal services. The system also has 2 application servers
and an SQL server.

On the terminal server I have tried to Enable the following group policy
setting:
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components -
Terminal Services - "Limit terminal services users to one remote session"

After enabling, I ran gpupdate /force at the command prompt. Computer
policy and user policy refreshed, but I then got the message "Check the
event logs for errors applying group policy". Nothing in any of the
logs for the time I refreshed Group Policy.

The policy setting shows as enabled, but users are still able to log on
twice.

Anyone any clues?

My experince is that gpupdate/force works for some stuff but not
others. Often time I had had to reboot client PC's before a GP went
into effect.

Besides that are you using the GPmanagment tool from the toolkit? I
certainly hope so because it makes things a lot easier. At any rate
it allows you to run GP audits on remote machines to see what GP's
have been apllied. i would run this from your server on the remote
machine that is logging more than once. And if you cant you can even
install the GPmanagment tool on the client pc and run the audit
locally.

Try that. Does it show the GP applied on client PC?
