Got a strange one for you!

I have three PCs on my LAN, all running Win XP

I noticed that last night, I could only d/l at 30-50kB/s on my 2Mb
ADSL line (242 kB/s max).

Further testing shows that the other PCs are unaffected as is another
Win XP partition on my main PC.

ON the affected partition I have scanned for ad aware, repaired my
network connection, scanned for viruses, and restored to a couple of
days ago without effect.

No strange processes are running that I can see.

I'm stumped. Something is wrong on this partition, which only happened
last night as all was well before.

Any ideas?

TIA.

Problem solved. I am/was running Protowall. It is IP blocking
software. Works okay for a while, but the slows down the Internet on
the PC that it is installed on.
