I've spent the majority of my free time this past week researching the
various wireless routers: Netgear MR814, Linksys BEFW11S4, and the
D-link 614+. With the price not being a issure between any of these,
I'm having a very hard time deciding with to go with. Ive read
negative reviews for all--in which they reccommend one of the others.
I don't know if I can find another version of the Linksys routher
other than version 4--if there still is a problem with them. Can
someone enlighten me on how to make a decision between these
routers--i've read most revies on all sights--and I'm still at stage 1
in getting a wireless router.

Thanks.

I have been using the DI-614+ for some weeks now.

I'm very happy with it.
Its easy to install, configure etc.

All though I must say, that I don't not play at all at my PC.
So I havn't got a clue how well it will work when playing games on the
internet.
Besides that I think its a good product.

Bear in mind, too, that most all of these products support the notion of
'upgradable firmware' (meaning that any bugs or lack of functionality
often get corrected...and new functionality added).

You typically just go to their support website page and follow the
procedures for upgrading.

HTH...

Netgear is a nightmare, constant firmware updates, mine didn't work at all,
even Netgear said to return it.
I got Draytek 2200We, installed in minutes, works well between two buildings
70m apart.
54g is only worth it if you need the extra speed between your computers, no
need if you only access internet.
Regards,
Martin
