Hi,
Does anyone know of a good Network traffic analyzer package that gives the
following output?
1. Can isolate a particular machine on the Network and give the ip address
of other machines communication with it, traffic traversing, and the
protocols utilized.
2. Must be able to incorporate across networks.
3. show bandwidth utilization.

The program does not have to have all the bells and whitsles, but must be
graphical and user friendly.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Markus

You can try Netboy, which consists of WebBoy and EtherBoy.

It's pricy but check out
http://www.wildpackets.com/ and under Whats New, click on "Realtime network
analysis" for a good demo. If you find anything less expensive ($150 or
less) that does this, please let me know.

Harvey,

That's pretty close if not the same as Netboy. Have you used or seen the
NetBoy suite? The two, WebBoy and EtherBoy, give you realtime color graphic
visuals that show up just like Omni, but are in color and you can see the
pipe getting 'fatter' as bandwidth to a specific node increases or
decreases. You can then look at stats from it as well. Do me a favor and
check it out and compare it since you are familiar with Omni and assume you
have an actual licensed copy, you would be the better judge.

Thanks,
Ace

Hmm, didn't realize they got acquired by someone else. I guess just another
change in the industry.. Netboy was less money. Oh well...
