good deal? dell pc with 1 yr broadband £799

Help! I have an old pc and want to get broadband and a new PC I saw an
advert for www.itsallinthebox.co.uk
The PC is from Dell it is an OptiPlex which looks good,
and the broadband is from onetel. They want £799 up front for 12 months
broadband and the PC which has 3 yrs on site repairs.

Is this a good deal?

I`m building an Athlon XP2000 for the mother in law at the moment, which
won`t be far off the "family PC" spec - the bits (excl OS and monitor)
come to ~£240

I pay Pipex £23.44 a month which is £281 a year.

If you know someone who builds PCs, you can probably get an equivalent
deal for less, but if you want the peace of mind an onsite warranty
brings it might be worth paying the extra.

The onsite warranty may well be worth sweet FA if the problem ends up
being software related. I`m not sure how they`d go about trying to recoup
costs for "self inflicted" problems caused by software :-}

You`ve got to love the way they include "keyboard and 2 button wheel
mouse" as features too :-p
