A couple of points..
a) If you do decide to use Bulldog would you mind quoting my referral code
when signing up - just quote "bdol 87431" when signing up online (under "How
did you hear about Bulldog?/Referred by a Friend") or by telephone
b) If you sign up to Bulldog and choose *not* to have the free USB modem,
you will get a months free service instead - which could well be worth
more..
For instance,
http://www.ebuyer.com sell USB ADSL modems from £15.27
including VAT ( Quickfind code: 48409)
c) When looking for Wireless ADSL modem/routers, you have plenty of choice,
including:
Belkin 7630
USR 9106
Draytek Vigor 2600G
Netgear 834G
All of them are in the £80/100 price range (apart from the Draytek Vigor
2600G which is more expensive) and support the 802.11g wireless standard.
Equipment supporting the older/slower 802.11b wireless standard only would
be cheaper.
If you search this group, uk.comp.home-networking and
http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist...oard=dslrouter you can choose
the one which best suits your needs
With any of the above, the USB modem would no longer be needed ,as all these
routers have a built in ADSL modem
HTH
