GO AWAY "enter network password"

Win 98; just did reinstall. Not connected to network;
never have been (though do have a network card installed
for cable modem). Since Windows reload, on Startup, before
desktop loads, I get window "Enter Network Password".
Windows "Help" says to restart & when it comes up again,
just click "cancel". That works that time, but next
reboot....IT'S BACK! How can I make the "enter network
password" window go away permanently?
