Global Catalog Server

One of my DC's crashed due to disk failure. Since the machine is
temporarily totally unaccessible, I have designated the other DC as a
GCS. However, I am encountering an issue with the web server running
IIS. When the SMTP service starts it throws an error that the
categorizer filed to initialize. This server collects input forms from
our website and them emails them to the manager of that area. The
machine is not running exchange. It's Windows 2000 Advance Server
running IIS and it's default SMTP server. The queue folder has
hundreds of messages stacked up in it that can't be routed without the
categorizer running. Seems the categorizer cannot communicate to the
new Global Catalog Server. I just can't figure out why. I would
appreciate any help I can get on this.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Chris
