Gigabit ethernet cards

Does these use 'standard' CAT5E cables, or some other standard?

There are two types of gigabyte ethernet transmission.
1. Fiber or optical
2. Cat5


The cat5 option uses standard cat5e cable with the 'normal' RJ45
connectors. It actually uses all four pairs of wires in the cable, 10/100
ethernet only uses only 2 pairs.
