I am trying to open up my ports and I understand you have
to go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1
whichever one works i guess. The problem is that whenever
I do that it just stalls and then eventually goes to a
page that says "Gateway Timeout" "Server Unreachable" or
something to that effect. If anyone knows how to rectify
this problem and if you could tell me it would be very
appreciated.

Some Routers use the following URL:

http://192.168.2.1

You need to find out what the IP address of your router really is. Mine is
192.168.4.254, but I have another router that defaults to 192.168.0.1 ...

You have to use the IP address of YOUR router. It is not necessarily
either of the ones you list.
