Getting RH9 to remember NIS domainname after reboot

I have a line in my /etc/sysconfig/network saying "NISDOMAIN=hoth" and also a line in /etc/yp.conf showing "ypserver hoth"

However, after a reboot, if I try to run ypbind it tells me that the domainname is not set. What else am I missing to get RH9 to remember what domain it is in for NIS?

Correction. I actually have "ypserver vader.deathstar" in my yp.conf, which
is what it should be. So, how can I get my NIS client to remember its
domainname of hoth after a reboot?

I actually read that before I posted here and I see nothing in there about
how to get it to remember the NIS domainname across reboots. It works great
when I type in "domainname hoth", but as soon as I reboot, my computer
suddenly doesn't know what NIS domain it belongs to. Also, I tried making
an /etc/defaultdomain file with "hoth" in it and that didn't work either.

Anyone else got any ideas?

Please don't top-post. Post your reply *underneath* that to which you are
responding.

Are you for some reason unable to read about the "--file" option, and
understand that the startup scripts (in this case /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit would
be a good choice) is the place to run such commands?

How are you starting ypbind? Are you just running the ypbind command or
using the startup script? The startup script /etc/rc.d/init.d/ypbind sets
the domain name from /etc/sysconfig/network if it isn't already set (or at
least it does on RH8.0)
