I recently changed the name of my web server name from www.lnx04.net to
www.lansys.com. That name was listed in the /etc/hosts file. It has
been removed. Also removed from the httpd.conf file. The new name is
referenced in my DNS zone tables. But if I ping www.lnx04.net I
receive answers back.

[lnx04]# ping www.lnx04.net
PING lnx04 (192.168.0.201) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from lnx04 (192.168.0.201): icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.289 ms
64 bytes from lnx04 (192.168.0.201): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.169 ms

I missed something but, where?

I discovered my problem. The old name was in the YP tables. Once I
rebuilt the database everything was cleared up.
