Untill recently my wireless connection between my laptop (XP Pro) and Desktop
(XP Home) worked flawlessly. The internet connection from the desktop is
shared to the laptop. However, out of the blue, for no reason I can see, the
laptop is now unable to connect to the internet. The wireless connection is
still good (100%) and files etc can still be shared, but the laptop does not
share the internet (and yes, internet sharing is enabled). In investigating
this issue I have, obviously, tried the various connection wizards and now
the laptop tries to dial a connection....It never used to do this.... How can
i get it the use the LAN? Probably very obvious I know so feel free to
laugh.....

Looks like you tried network setup wizard on your laptop. I would delete the
current network setup in the laptop and run wireless set up wizard from the
main computer to transfer the settings to the laptop.

Thanks - That issue is now solved, however my main issue is not :-) It would
appear that my wireless connected laptop cannot connect to the internet as my
DHCP cannot get an IP address so is defaulting to APIPA (169.xxx.xxx.xxx)
which is incompatable with wireless. (I think I have that right). Anyone out
there know how to resolce the DHCP issue??
