anybody have any insight as to what is going on with
broadband protocols in Spain...? Had a telefonica tech
out here for 2 hours and he couldn't figure it out...nor
can I...

They use PPPoE w/dynamic IP...sorry if that's redundant,
but i'm just a stupid geetar player...

anyway, with all the passwords/usernames etc... I still
can't get MN-700 to validate the internet
connection...plugging in directly to the ZyXEL router
gives me one, so it's there, but MN 700 can not detect
it...

any help por favor?

thanks,
C

Well first off the MN-700 uses different wireless channels then they use
in spain. Second off you should never run more then one router.

Since you are outside the USA & Canada Microsoft will not support you.
As such I suggest getting a router that is made for the country you are
in. This is because different countries follow some standards differently.

After reading and considering Joker's follow-up to your posting...

Is your modem also a router? If so, your MN700 should not be in router
mode. Instead it should be in bridge mode, and it should get a lan ip from
the zyxel modem/router.
