Getting an error 650 on virgin media broadband

Does anyone know what could be causing this error, I am unable to connect to
virgin media broadband from my bt line, the speedtouch modem when using dial
up networking says: "error 650 the computer you are dialling to does not
accept connection requests" I also received a PPP connection error, I hope
I have not inardvertently tampered with my connection settings

No, it is more likely to be the decidely flaky service, in my expereince,
that VM is offering on ADSL these days. I'm sure Gonz will be along shortly
to enlighten you further.

Go one leave us all guessing, no imformation about equipment being
used, O/S if applicable.....

All you will get is a lot of anti Virgin clutter with absolutely no
stubstance all because you couldn't be bothered to fill in the spaces
but if you want a guess, your USB modem isn't synching up before you
try to connect or you've input your connect details incorrectly. If
using a router, why the blazes are you using a DUN anyway...

Take your pick, the answers are both as valid as your question..
