Hi there,

I finally got my BB modem today and ran software and plugged modem in. But
when I connect I get windows error 619.

Could this be because my line has yet to be switched over to the ISP?

Is there a way to check to see if my line has indeed been switvhed? BT tells
me it has while the BB guys say it hasn't.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Error 619 doesn't really mean much in this context, it could mean one of
many different things.

There's a link to BT's site in a sticky post on our forum

http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthre...b=5&o=0&fpart=

where you can check the order status, it'll work whichever ISP you're with.

If that says the service is activated, have a look at the following 2
tutorials

http://usertools.plus.net/tutorials/id/10

and

http://usertools.plus.net/tutorials/id/13

and if nothing there resolves the issue, report to your ISP.

With Regards,

Dave,

Great. That helped a lot.

It looks like BT have to make some adjustents on the exchange. Sounds
ominous
