Where to get started with Wireless?

Hi folks,

There are several pages which come up on a Google search for Linux
wireless. I'm not sure which is "the one." I thought my Slackware 9.1
distro came with everything I need. The kernel menuconfig shows the
"hermes" chipset as the one I should use (I've got a Prism / Intersil
miniPCI card).

But at this point I'm a bit at a loss. Where's a good place to start?
I'm bummed if this stuff isn't included in the distro as I thought Linux
was already pretty mature wireless wise.

BTW: kernel 2.4.22.

Thanks,

DT

That is the standard document for the orinoco driver in the kernel.

I have Slackware 9.1 and Linksys wcp11. Slack setup everything during
install. Working perfect. Did you use the netconfig as root?
