First time to set up a VPN so am looking for "friendliest" choice. Have
tried in vain to use 2 different Linksys routers and their Quickvpn client.
After hours on the phone with them, they gave up and I have since discovered
most people have given up. Can anyone suggest an inexpensive product
(Netgear ?) to use. I will only have about 8 remote users needing access to
our LAN. Big brownie points for easy setup and use. Remote users have a
variety of configurations at home -- some with routers, some not, some
cable, some dsl, etc.

Thanks

But note that PPTP is really not very secure.

I personally like Sonicwalls - "inexpensive" being a relative term. The
Global VPN Client is easy to use. Be careful with VPN whatever you do - I
don't like allowing VPN access from non-company computers/laptops, as it's a
big security risk - at any rate, be sure you force clients to 'use remote
gateway' when the tunnel is enabled, as otherwise anyone compromising their
home networks/computers from *their* Internet connection will have free
access to your company network.
