I have a G604T with IP of 10.0.0.1.

Network IP Camera with IP of 10.0.0.8.

Laptop with IP of 10.0.0.2.

I can see the camera when I open IE and browse to http://10.0.0.8:1024
(I'm using port 1024 instead of 80)

But what I need to be able to do is browse from ANY PC to my public WAN
ip of 82.xx.xx.xx:1024 and see the camera.

I see that plenty of people are saying forward the port (1024) to the
Internal IP address. But I only have Port Start, Port End and Port Map
to enter numbers in.

HELP Please!?!?!?

1024 in "start" and "end", 10.0.0.8 in "map" I reckon.

I used Google to find
<http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DSL-G604T/BitTorrent.htm>.

It looks like there are three basic steps:

1. Click the "New IP" button and add 10.0.0.8. Strangely, the above link
doesn't
mention this.
2. Select the "User" category and create a new rule by clicking "Add".
3. Apply the rule to LAN IP 10.0.0.8 by selecting it and clicking "Add >".

The rule should be for TCP, with all three port number entries as 1024.

Note: if you want to test that the port forwarding is working, you normally
need to do so from outside your LAN. For instance, ask a friend/neighbour to
try from his Internet connection.

"map" is probably used in case you want to forward a port to a different
internal port, i.e. if someone tried to connect on port 1023 you could
redirect it to port 1024 on the network.

I seem to remember having problems with G604T's port forwarding with a
customer but haven't been back to try and sort it.

ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Broadband/dslg60...-G604T_manual_
07072005.zip

Page 45 of the manul here explains it all but to summarise:

You need to log into the router go to the Advanced Menu and get to the
"Virtual Server" page.

Enter a name for the rule such as Camera.
In the Private IP, enter the IP address of the Camera, i.e 10.0.0.b
In "Protocol" try it first with TCP

Now this is where it can vary:

If you want people to enter <ip address>:1024 in their web browser, set
port start, port end and port map to 1024.

If you want people just to type <ip address> in their browser, set port
start and end to 80 and port map to 1024.

For port-forwarding to work you have to setup the target piece of kit with
a static internal IP address (10.0.0.8 in your original post).

Do that from the 'LAN Clients' function

Then you can go to the 'Port Forwarding' function, select the static IP
address you just allocated above, and setup your new port forwarding rule.

Protocol = TCP
Start, End, and Map = 1024 (again per your original post)

Apply. Try.

It's there staring you in the face. Big blue button called Port
Forwarding.
