Got wireless g network setup fine.
Range a little weak going into backyard.
Can a D-link or linksys range extender be used to extend
range. Is microsoft making a 'g' network range extender.

What is the best way to extend range ?

Why didn't microsoft make the antenna detachable on the
base station ? so customers could add better reach antenna.

thanks.

Jeff,

Did you ever find a solution to this problem. I have the
same problem. I also own a second access point which is
B. Any help would be great.

Thanx

Kevin

Kevin, the Microsoft Broadband Networking hardware cannot be enhanced by an
external antenna. There are actually two, one external and one internal, to
balance the signal. If you need additional coverage, beyond testing
different locations/channels for the existing system, I would suggest you
look into a full-fledged Access Point which wouldn't require cable
connections with the base station.
