FWD/ SIP

I am looking at setting out for VOIP phone calls can anyone tell me what the
best set up would be. Although I would not like my PC to be on all the time
in order to receive calls. I believe I can achieve this by using FWD but
where can I buy the hardware from in the UK. I prefer something cordless.
