Does anyone have a clue why my notebook would login as 'Chris Marsh' and
then a few hours later when I look at the Start menu it reads 'Chris'? It's
as if the system is loggin on cached credentials or something like that but
I have no problems that I can notice accessing network resorces. However
when I look at the 'Security' tab I do see some orphaned users.

Your username is not necessarily the same as the account name. Are you
logged in to the local machine or into a domain?
