YEs I am just trying to use PROFTP
You can find on
http://www.proftpd.org

Seems to be nice... even I didn't start to go deeply inside :-)

I'm not sure what you mean. Have you looked at 'man ftpd' ?

Basically, skip the ol' ftp server and use open_ssh.
