FTP-server with MySQL-authentication

Hey all

I'm searching for a program, I can use the same way as proftpd, but I've
heard, proftpd with mysql isn't the best program to use as a ftp-server,
therewhy I'm asking you about, which program I then have to use?

That depends on how many simultaneous users you expect.

I use ncFTPd with ncftpd_mysql_authd

ncFTPd still may be your best solution, even though ncFTPd is not free
for more than 5 (?) connections. Read the docs before you use this.
I see nothing in the current LICENSE file that says 5 users is free,
but when I started using it, that was the case.
