FTP host thru router

My FTP host is accessible but if I place the host behind a router it is
no longer accessible. The host PC's local IP is DMZed by the router
setting and WXP firewall is turned off. No other firewall is used.
I wonder What I am doing wrong. Please help.

May I assume the sentence below means that you's port remapped TCP 21 and
TCP 20 to the internal private IP of the FTP server?

If not, can you elaborate?

Also, how are you trying to contect? By name or IP address of the router,
and I assuming from the Internet, correct?
