FTP caching proxy - frox makes troubles

Hello everyone,

I'm trying top use frox as a caching transparent ftp proxy
but it makes big troubles
I've constructed network with 1GB bandwitch capability,
squid serves request from cache with 28Mbytes/sec speed
( as a transparent http proxy ),
but frox with equivalent situation ( for ftp request ) sends
only with 4 MBytes /sec speed
That makes a problem.
I've checked the config file for the frox on different computer
( Athlon 1800 )
and it seems that it is well constructed ( no troubles ), but
on PIV 3Ghz with HT on and with aurox kernel it behaves wrong.
What is the reason of problem ?
I need a good-behaving ftp cache'ing proxy, give me a suggestion.
I've looked every option in config file to set it properly
