Frozen downloads with Linksys wireless router

I have difficulty completing downloads. The router will hang on a
download while still being able to surf the internet and send/receive
email. Has anyone had this problem?

You can have a momentary signal interference that will drop a connection on
a download but still allow the surfing as if nothing happened. This is
particularly true on a Win 9'x or ME O/S that are kind of unstable in that
area. I have never had it happen so far on a NT based machine. But I did
have it happen on a number of time using ME.

I use DLmage.

It has retry logic built in.
Its a fair product.

Hemlock

I have the probelem on long dl's from newsgroups..... dlmage doesnot
handle newsgroups.
I have found if I start another dl with other software often both work
better.
