I am about to change a friends Freeserve ADSL connection from the dreaded
green frog to a Conexant based single port router as Freeserve don't
encourage using a router does anybody know web site where I can check the
correct settings. At the moment I am guessing the set up will be similar to
BT Openworld ie: PPPoA VC-Mux VCI=38 but with PAP instead of CHAPS for
authentication.

I think I just set my router (on Freeserve) to 0/38 (the same for the whole
of BT Home ADSL), PPPoA, DHCP and then type the username (<something>@fs)
and password into appropriate boxes. I don't recall having to choose PAP/CHAP.
