I'm tired of this thing freezing up every few hours ... It's annoying ...
The MN-700 firmware needs a major overhaul or something... I've changed the
settings over and over trying to get it to stop freezing ... It wont work!

Steve,
Have you placed a call to product support with your multiple issues
and feature requests and do you have SR#'s for these? You really need
to call product support.

Also, because it seems that the feature set doesn't give you what you
need now, if you need the additional features quickly, you may want to
exchange for a different brand.

Honestly Barb... I think I figured out the problem -- Only time can tell now
.... =)

And the feature request isn't a big deal -- I just edited the HOSTS file in
XP to redirect my local hostname (tuxq.pr0n.net) to 127.0.0.1 =P ... Oh
well - no big loss. I can wait for loopback.

As far as switching to another brand -- Never =)
I'm a patient person.

And calling Microsoft Tech Support is like calling a ... heh nevermind.

=)

What do you think the problem was? Please post this ?
As far as calling Product Support, loopback is something that probably won't
get on the radar screen without enough people asking for it. You really need
to make that call.

Naah.. .I don't like calling people that much unless it's my fiance... heh
But, the problem was, I put a crossover cable between router and modem.
It worked -- but I believe there was some type of problem which was causing
it to freeze...
It's been a good while and it's still working perfectly -- actually better
for the wireless connection.

The reason I used a crossover is because it was the shortest one I had ...
I made a new straight through the last time the router froze ...
Disconnected both modem and router, connected modem to router, booted
router, booted modem ...
Works fine now =)
