a freespot for a park

I have a DSL connection that I wish to share. I live right on the
corner and across the street from a park. I am interested in
configuring free internet access to those who would like it. I want to
use the "free" aspect of it to rent local advertising space and to
sell my services as a computer tech (hopefully to lots of potential
wi-fi customers).

I definately want to protect it from use by spammers and others who
would misuse it.

Right now, I can access half of the park using my laptop and BEFW11S4.
If I add the WSB24 booster this should increase the range and quality
of the signal. Am I way off base? Do I absolutely need an outdoor
antenna? I don't want to spend a lot of money.

What would I use to protect my network and the 'hoods DSL customers?
I've been looking at the DNS Redirector
http://www.jpelectron.com/discount/ as a possibility.

Any suggestions as to the best way to go about this?

TIA

Michael G.

I'm not going to get into the legalities of using your DSL connection this
way. That's between you and your ISP.

Before you go spending money on the WSB24 (which has mixed reviews), drop by
http://www.freeantennas.com/ and check out the reflectors which you can
build for pennies and hang on your router's antennas.

This may be all that's necessary. If it "almost gets you there", Radio
Shack sells a pair of 5.5 dB antennas for $30 or so. The stock antennas are
2.2 dB.
